Job Description
SKILLS REQUIRED: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (6/7/8),
VMware vCenter (6.5/6.7),
RedHat Satellite,
RedHat Cluster,
RedHat Virtualization,
BMC Control M
Duties and Responsibilities
Ø Daily Operations and working on Service Request,Incident, Alerts, Change Request assigned in ticketing tool, also coordinationwith other teams for closure of the tickets within predefined SLA.
Ø Systems administration, maintenance and monitoringvarious day-to-day operations.
Ø Take part in 24X7 Global Linux Operations includingPatching of Linux Servers.
Ø Building/commissioning new servers and configure themin VMware, RHEV hosts and on physical box according to standard practicesdefined and Server Decommissioning.
Ø Configure RedHat Cluster for load balancing whichincludes health check of clusters, resource status etc.
Ø Perform Hardening of Linux & Solaris serversbefore deploying in Production.
Ø Perform day-to-day Technical Support- Analyzing,Troubleshooting and Resolving Technical Problems related to Servers.
Ø Participated in P1/ P2 and other critical issues andidentifying the cause by managing and troubleshooting.
Ø User management: Creation, Deletion, Assigningrights/privileges to users as per ticket/approval.
Ø Package Administration for Linux servers using YUM andRPM utilities synced with Redhat Satellite
Ø Proficient in installing, configuring andtroubleshooting of RHEL 5, 6 & 7 (via Media, using predefined templatedeployment through virtualization platforms)
Ø BMC Control-M Administration, Scheduling, troubleshooting andconfiguration and system changes as per requirement.
