About the job
In this role, you will be working in our Sand Operations Department, supporting Al‑Awalia’s site activities by assisting in the monitoring and coordination of the loading area to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Adherence to quality, health & safety, information security, and business continuity policies.
- Assist the site supervisor in monitoring trucks within the loading area and report any unsafe or suspicious activities.
- Support monitoring of wheel loader operations to ensure correct loading quantities are maintained.
- Observe and report any unauthorized entry or exit of trucks outside designated site gates.
- Assist in ensuring that all truck drivers comply with required safety rules and procedures.
- Support the coordination of site activities to ensure smooth loading operations.
- Transport employees between the site and office as required.
- Transport documents between site locations and Head Office when needed.
- Arrange the transport of general site requirements and materials.
- Guide visitors safely to and from the site when required.
- Maintain effective communication with site staff, contractors, and drivers to ensure operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Contribute to teamwork and organizational initiatives.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the line manager.
About you
For you to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
- High school certificate or diploma in logistics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in site operations or logistics.
- Good command of the English language.
- Basic understanding of loading and unloading operations.
- Familiarity with site safety practices and operational procedures.
- Awareness of Qatar and GCC business and operational environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor activities effectively.
- Proactive and responsible attitude with good judgment.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to interact professionally with drivers and stakeholders.
- Team player with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Commitment to achieving assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
