Mechanical Field Service Engineer - Heavy Duty Gasturbine

Bringing Technology to life As a Mechanical FieldService Resident Engineer you will provide advice and counsel forpre-defined maintenance activities. To the extent specified duringperformance of work, such service, may also include testing,adjustment, programming and other similar services as agreed uponwith Headquarter Technical assistance team. As a Mechanical FieldService Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for: •Handling mechanical Inspection of the gas turbines majorauxiliaries as per GE recommended procedures (e.g. level]inspection, GG swap etc.) • Handling Pre-commissioning andcommissioning of oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, airsystem • Assisting Buyer with regular reviews ofmaintenance activ • Discussing any mechanical relatedNICs/TILs to the Buyer; plan agreed upon implementation of anyrecommendations. • Responding to the Buyers technicalinquiries utilizing GE technical support services. •Maintaining a documented history of all mechanical modificationsfor the Covered Units. • Supporting Buyers operation& maintenance staff with diagnostics counselling andaddressing maintenance /operational issues on Covered Units.• Providing on-the-job training of Buyers operation& maintenance staff at no additional cost for the Buyer.For this Section, "on the job training" shallmean training performed by ME during the day-by-day activitieswithout requirement additional resources, tool, trainers, equipmentand certificate Seller. • Preparing in concurrence withCustomer detailed work scope each agreed Outage. For each outagehe/she shall indicate recommended FSEs and Manpower crews. For allControl aspects of outages Unit Control Panel Engineer that makespart of the team will advise. • Performing Equipmentstart-up, diagnostic and troubleshooting • PerformingWater wash procedure • Performing lube oil and coolingwater systems flushes as per recommended procedures •Performing Pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil system,starting system, fuel gas system, air system • Advising oninterpretation of drawings for installation optimisation •Working closely with Instrumentation Engineer during theMaintenance/installation, calibration and set-up electricalinstrumentation (such as vibration probes, temperature elements,servo actuators calibration, etc) • Marking up all pipingdrawings to show piping modifications • Unloading andInspection of the gas turbine major auxiliaries at the installationsite and their placement on the foundation • Performinggeometric dimensional check of foundation, equipment andauxiliaries skids positioning, levelling (ensure levelness andelevations of subsole plates and perform contact checks betweensubsole plates and package supports) and alignment Fuel yourpassion To be successful in this role you will: • Have aMechanic Engineer Degree. • Have more than 5 years ofrelevant experience. • Able to perform major Inspectionsof all HDGT & ADGT machines. • Able to performLaser Alignments & Borescope inspection on all machines.Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone isdifferent and that the way in which people want to work and deliverat their best is different for everyone too.
