Mechanical Technician (Rotary Equipment)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotary equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, and gearboxes
  

• Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical components such as bearings, seals, couplings, shafts, and impellers
  

• Conduct precision alignment (laser/dial), balancing, and vibration checks
  

• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform root cause analysis
  

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, manuals, and OEM documentation
  

• Perform installation and commissioning of new or overhauled rotary equipment
  

• Ensure proper lubrication practices and monitor oil condition
  

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work reports
  

• Follow all HSE policies, permit -to -work systems, and lockout/tagout procedures
  

• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and operations teams during maintenance activities
  

• Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency breakdowns as required
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 3–7+ years of hands -on experience in rotary equipment maintenance
  

• Strong knowledge of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, compressors, and rotating machinery components
  

• Experience with alignment tools, torqueing, fitting, and measurement instruments
  

• Familiarity with vibration analysis and condition monitoring (preferred)
  

• Ability to work from technical drawings and OEM manuals
