TheGlass Jar, Inc. is a farm-to-table restaurant group based in SantaCruz, CA that owns and operates The Penny IceCreamery and The PicnicBasket.
Werepassionate about our stores and our menus, which are based onlocal, seasonal, organic ingredients and artisan production. Werelooking for an organized, detail-oriented and even-keeled person toexecute our deliveries throughout theweek.
Thesedeliveries involve moving ingredients, product, and various itemsbetween eight locations: our commissary kitchen, six Penny IceCreamery locations, and our beachfront cafe, The Picnic Basket.Deliverydistances range from within Santa Cruz County toSanta Clara County.
DeliveryDriver ResponsibilitiesInclude:
-Gather,load and deliver all items needed for The Picnic Basket and ThePenny Ice Creamery using our Requisition/ParSystem.
-Drivethe company vehicle (2015 Ford Transit T-250) and/or other deliveryvehicle(s)
-Assistin deliveries with partnered company Verve CoffeeRoasters
-Organize,update and maintain a large inventory of goods
-Learn andhelp to develop new procedures and systems, etc.
-Assistin relaying relevant information between management teams at eachlocation
Requirements
-Aclean driving record & current California DriversLicense
-Strongdecision-making skills; ability to planstrategically
-Thoroughand consistent attention todetail
-Skilledin organization, prioritization andtime-management
-Willingnessto learn and follow instructions withprecision
-Demonstratedability to be self-directed; works wellalone
-Greatcommunication skills and a friendlyattitude
-Abilityto maintainprofessionalism
-Enjoyinteracting with all types ofpeople
-Ableto work a flexible schedule (early mornings, weekends andholidays); Can work at least 20 hours perweek
-Abilityto text and/or check email on a frequentbasis
-Abilityto stand for eight hours; ability to lift heavy objects (at least50pounds)
-UpTo Date COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster (seebelow)
