Piping Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Responsible for overseeing Piping andMechanical Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning & Completionsactivities for process, mechanical, building, loss prevention andpiping systems in assigned areas to ensure EPCContractor’s safe and efficient delivery of systems tomeet project objectives and milestones. Maybe required to engagewith other discipline activities. Ensuring testing anddocumentation are performed and delivered as per contractualrequirements and in a safe and professional manner. To ensuresplanning such as systemization, commissioning/pre-commissioningplanning, database set-up is developed and to maintain coordinationwith other stakeholders.

JobResponsibilities

• Demonstratepersonal SHES leadership and excellent SHES behaviours at all timesand ensures that safety expectations are communicated andmaintained. Perform as a safety leader through auditing, settingand exhibiting the highest standards. Actively participate inToolbox Talks, Task Instructions and SHES relatedwalkdowns.
• Ensure that Contractor /Subcontractor are conducting works safely and in accordance withall Permits to Work and safety practices. Assist Contractor withproper preparation of all permits to work and job safety analysissubmissions. Including acting as PTW issuing / receiving /performing authority where required.
• EnsureSystem Completion activities, including all required testing,walkdowns, documentation, are performed and delivered as percontractual requirements.
• Review, develop andprovide technical advice and guidance in the development ofprocedures, method statements, work packs, check sheets, checksheet allocation matrix, schedules, reports etc. to enable workexecution and reporting.
• Review planningdeliverables including execution plans and ensure activities areadequately, planned, resourced, managed and schedule is realisticand achievable.
• Provides clear guidance andfacilitates resolution of conflict and problem-solving. Inaddition, actively seeks out work gaps and supports contractor toclose out.
• Predominantly field based to assistand witness the execution of assigned area Pre-Commissioning,Commissioning & Completionsactivities.
• Indirectly supervise amulti-national of commissioning professionals providingpre-commissioning and commissioning direction, expertise &guidance, to lead safe execution of the Pre-Commissioning andCommissioning scope of work in accordance with project deliverablesand execution schedule. Demonstrate leadership in planning andexecution driving EPC contractor to deliver as per projectmilestones.
• Report generation and validating /invalidating testing and commissioningresults.
• Assist in other discipline activitieswhere required.
