Rigging Supervisor

Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Rigging Supervisor in Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced professional capable of supervising rigging and lifting activities while maintaining strict safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day rigging, lifting, and material-handling operations at the worksite.
  
• Coordinate riggers and lifting personnel to ensure safe execution of assigned lifting activities.
  
• Review lifting requirements and ensure appropriate rigging equipment and lifting accessories are selected.
  
• Conduct pre-lift inspections and verify the condition and certification of rigging equipment.
  
• Ensure lifting activities comply with approved procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and site safety standards.
  
• Coordinate with crane operators, engineers, safety personnel, and site teams during lifting operations.
  
• Identify hazards associated with lifting and rigging activities and implement appropriate controls.
  
• Monitor the rigging team and provide technical guidance during complex lifting activities.
  

Required Skills

1. Rigging Operations: Strong practical knowledge of industrial rigging and lifting activities.
   
2. Lifting Safety: Ability to identify lifting hazards and enforce safe working procedures.
   
3. Rigging Equipment: Knowledge of slings, shackles, wire ropes, lifting accessories, and related equipment.
   
4. Lifting Supervision: Ability to supervise rigging crews and coordinate lifting activities.
   
5. Equipment Inspection: Ability to verify rigging equipment condition and suitability before lifting operations.
   

Preferred Skills

• Heavy and complex lifting exposure.
  
• Knowledge of lifting plans and risk assessments.
  
• Familiarity with industrial/site permit-to-work systems.
  

Work Experience Requirements

The posting requires 12–15 years of experience. Candidates should have substantial hands-on experience in rigging and lifting operations, with experience supervising teams and coordinating safe lifting activities in industrial or project environments.
