Job Description - Sales Manager - Hotel Sales Marketing

Job Summary A hotel sales manager networkswith potential clients, manages large accounts, works to maintain aloyal customer base, and oversees hotel sales and marketingstrategies. Job Responsibilities 1 Analyse local market trends andcompetitor activity to identify business leads. Analyse currentclient base or target market for the hotel. Devise new ways toexpand that client base. Develop customer accounts and travelwithin the local area to drive business into the specifichotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenuestreams. Develop promotional and advertising materials for thehotel. Oversee distribution of marketing materials. Reaches out toorganizations and businesses that might require a hotel forconferences and events. Meets with representatives from thesecompanies to explain the hotel’s merits and amenities.Job Responsibilities 2 Networks with wedding planners and specialevent planners to encourage hotel bookings. Design and advertisespecial group rates and packages to increase larger bookings.Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with currentbusiness and pricing conditions. Negotiate room rates/packages withcorporate clients. Overcome hesitations of clients to close a saleAnswer customer query in a prompt and professional manner. Managesaccounts of high-profile clients. Processes payments and appliesdiscounts as necessary. Addresses and resolves any issues orcomplaints regarding sales or marketing. Ensures that guests areenjoying their stay at the hotel and that large group needs aremet. Maintains positive relationships with clients to encouragerepeat and recurring business. Work within current businessstrategies and recognising potential opportunities. Cooperate withother departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guestexperience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs Managestaff performance in compliance with company policies andprocedures Skills Job Knowledge & Skills Demonstratesstrong organizational skills. Exhibits excellent interpersonal andcustomer service skills. Is willing and able to travel to establishand maintain client networks. Demonstrates ability to thinkcreatively and analytically. Can create and maintaining a largeclient network. Demonstrates familiarity with budget software andfinancial management. Communicates clearly and effectively.Possesses strong leadership skills. Is familiar with the workingsof the hotel and hospitality industry. Demonstrates strongpersuasive and negotiation skills. Works well with a variety ofdifferent individuals. Job Experience Minimum 8+ years of totalexperience Minimum 5 years of experience in Specialty/industryrelevant (required) GCC experience Minimum 3 years, as per the role(preferred)
