provision of discipline training and updatingof procedures and standards. • To prepare and / reviewmajor equipment enquiry specifications, reviewing and analyzingvendor bids, preparation of technical bid evaluation, Reviewing ofVendor documents and co - ordination with various other disciplinesfor data inputs • To provide technical assistance,coordination, and liaison with other discipline engineers on allaspects of Engineering / technical matters and audits • Toparticipate in all Design reviews, HSE workshops andConstructability reviews, as necessary • Activeparticipation in Bid clarification and Vendor kick - off meetings,through the course of the projects • To review and approvesub - contractor’s work and ensure compliance with thecontract, project specification, relevant codes and standards andbest practices • To ensure that all work is completed withquality and is delivered according to the project schedule• To co - ordinate with equipment vendors, to troubleshoots the issues related to design, manufacturing, maintenance,installation • To liaise with the client’sengineering team as required to ensure a consistent approach toproject completion • To prepare Engineering Reports onproject activities / methods • To ensure that the overallproject is delivered to meet the client needs • To providedirection and guidance on all technical queries relating toequipment engineering • To provide sound technical adviceand solutions to a diversity of technical problems within thediscipline • To assist in the coordination of allactivities related to major mechanical equipment • Toidentify any areas of concern with respect to progress and / orquality and recommend corrective actions as required •Supervision of Graduate Engineers and provide input to theperformance management of direct reports • Develops,review, and approve project and proposal estimates and schedules byreferencing the project scope of work and discussing the estimatesand schedules within the team and those of other disciplines• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering asminimum • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil and Gasindustry • Experience of working with multi - national andmulti - cultural project teams is strongly preferred •Experience in Compressor packages selection and package managementis an added advantage • Previous experience of working inthe Middle East would be an advantage • Thorough knowledgeof relevant international codes andstandard
