Senior QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and implement the Quality Control Management System (QCMS) for all project phases, ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings, and industry standards (ISO, ASME, API).
• Lead inspection and testing of construction materials, equipment, and systems, ensuring adherence to international codes and client requirements.
• Supervise and mentor the QC team, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
• Identify, investigate, and report non-conformities, proposing corrective actions and ensuring documentation.
• Lead quality audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality system and recommend improvements.
• Review and approve quality-related documentation including inspection reports

Required Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in Quality Control within the Oil & Gas sector, including both offshore and onshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of international quality standards such as ISO 9001, ASME, API, and NACE.
• Expertise in inspection and testing methods (NDT, UT, RT, PT, MT) for materials, welding, piping, coatings, and mechanical systems.
• Experience managing Quality Control documentation like Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans (QPs), and Certificates of Compliance (CoCs).
• Proven leadership skills in managing QC teams and ensuring project success.
• Familiarity with local Qatari regulations and codes.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  
  Preferred Skills:

• Chartered Membership or relevant certifications (e.g., CSWIP, AWS CWI, ISO 9001 Auditor).
• Experience with offshore oil and gas facilities and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of SAP and project management software.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
