Senior Quantity Surveyor - Rail

A leading multinational contractor is looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor with previous experience working on major metro rail projects either in the Middle East or abroad and also has a strong working knowledge of railway systems to their team based in Doha. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role is to oversee a major section of the Doha Metro rail system. The principal responsibilities encompass several areas and the work load may vary over time, but will include:
- administering the tender/award process of several Provisional Sum packages (such as MEP, Arch Finishes & Utility Diversion work) on an open book basis with the Employer
- administering subcontract packages as above and domestic subcontractors;
- processing monthly payment applications by way of milestone approvals;
- preparing reports,
- attending in-house and interface meetings with Client, Subcontractors and Third Parties,
- preparation of quotations for potential variations,
- preparing claims and the related quantum,
- responding to potential claims raised by the M & E and Civil Contractors.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Degree qualified
- Minimum of 8yrs experience
- Experience working within the GCC (preferable but not essential)
- Experience working Metro rail projects & Tunneling
