Job Description - Senior Sales Manager - voco

Develop and implement KeyAccount Management Plans in conjunction with voco Doha West BaySuites business plan including direct sales telesales direct mailpromotions and famils.
Develop key accountsand target accounts within corporate & identified marketsegments.
Maintain and regularly updatedatabase including details of sales calls and client information asper company guidelines.
Produce and conductfamiliarization & entertainment programs for voco Doha WestBay Suites for identified target accounts.
Communicate with other hotel departments to ensure superior qualityservice delivery to all customers.
Maintaindetailed awareness of booking patterns room night productivitycancellations and any other factors that may impact results.
Maintain strong awareness of and takeproactive measures in response to industry trends economic factorsseasonality competitor activity and other external events that mayimpact results.
Liaise closely with theReservations Sales Administrator and Sales Executives for leadgeneration and potential business opportunities.
Ensure that all personal accountabilitiesand deadlines set in the Business Plan are met
Participate in industry trade shows eventsand promotions as required.
Maintainprofessional business confidentiality.
Prepare any other reports required by the Director of Sales andMarketing or General Manager.
Conductyourself in a professional manner at all times and maintain highgrooming standard.

RESPONSIBLEBUSINESS

Liaise with Director ofSales and Marketing and General Manager daily
Liaise with Revenue Manager for allreservation configurations
Ensure effectiveinterdepartmental communication
Liaise withDirector of Sales and Marketing on all quotes for extended staysgroups for sign off prior to presentation to client
Preparation of quotes issuing of contractscommunications database input and filing
Preparing of month end reports and monthly forecasts anticipatedrevenue forecast yearly budgets weekly forecasts and weeklybudgeting
Identify new sources ofresidential accommodations / special events / group bookings
Ensuring that all requests are replied towithin 24 hours

Sales

Conduct site inspections
Conduct a minimumof sales calls per week in accordance with the business plan.
Cold calling to secure new business salescalls/appointments
Telemarketing
Communicate and follow through with hoteldepartments to ensure that the sales commitment is being fulfilled
Assist with market intelligence andinformation gathering of benefit to the hotel.

Management

Comply with and ensure adherence to all of the hotels policies andprocedures
Comply with all occupationalhealth and safety policies and procedures
Attend all scheduled meetings.
Maintain agood working relationship with all staff and colleagues throughoutthe hotel and sister properties
Maintain ingood working order all hotel property in your possession.
Maintain a positive and professionalattitude at all times
Have workingknowledge of budget targets and develop strategies to achieve settargets
Develop methods and initiatives toincrease departmental revenue within the sales team.

GENERAL

Communicate effectively with all other departments
Attend meetings training sessions and anyother required meeting or training session.
Identify opportunities to innovate service delivery and productoffering to meet and exceed client expectations.
Ensure safe work practices are adopted atall time and report any OHS concerns immediately to your directmanager or HR Manager
Achievement of budgetrevenue
Acquisition of key accounts
All client requests are followed up on andresponded to within same business day.
Assigned projects are completed within designated timeframes
Efficient communication platform isconsistently maintained
Maintains anexecutive presence and uphold high professional standards in alldealings.
Reports presentations and otheradministrative duties are consistently on a high standard

PERSONALCHARACTERISTICS

Education

Bachelor of Science in Administration or Hotel Management degree
Tertiary qualifications relevant toMarketing or Sales would be an advantage

Experience

Previous experience within a hotel sales environment in aninternationally recognized hotel chain at managerial level for atleast 3 to 5 years within Qatar market.
Current/previous responsibility for key accounts and new businessgeneration in premium markets.
Track recordof achieving sales targets.
Existingcorporate accounts in Qatar market.
Demonstrated ability to manage own and others tasks through toconclusion.
Ability to lead presentationsconduct effective negotiations and close deals.

Technical

Competent Word Excel PowerPoint and software packages
High proficiency in English language oraland written skills
Highly organized able tocoordinate the efforts of others and manage multiple assignmentsand projects.
Knowledge of hotel PMS (HISOpera) and other industry related software programs.
