Supervisor-Steel Fitter

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily activities of steel fitters at site or workshop.
  

• Assign tasks to fitters based on project schedules and priorities.
  

• Review and interpret fabrication drawings, layouts, and material lists.
  

• Ensure proper alignment, marking, cutting, grinding, and fitting of structural steel components before welding.
  

• Coordinate with welders and fabricators to ensure smooth workflow.
  

• Check fit-ups, tolerances, and dimensional accuracy before welding and final assembly.
  

• Enforce compliance with HSE regulations and conduct daily toolbox talks.
  

• Monitor use and maintenance of tools, lifting equipment, and machinery.
  

• Liaise with QC/QA inspectors for fit-up inspections and approvals.
