Swimming Trainer

We are seeking a Swimming Trainer, who willbe an integral part of the school's PE program, teachingschool-aged groups water safety and proper swimming techniques,They will work in a private setting, utilizing the school'sswimming pools. • Responsibilities may include:*• *Instruction:* Providing clear and effectiveinstructions on swimming techniques, strokes, and breathing tobeginners as well as advanced swimmers. • *Safety:*Ensuring the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules,supervising activities, and being prepared to respond toemergencies such as drowning or injury. • *Assessment:*Evaluating swimmers' abilities and progress, and providingfeedback for improvement. • *Lesson Planning:* Designinglesson plans tailored to the skill level and goals of theparticipants, incorporating both skill development and physicalconditioning. • *Demonstration:* Demonstrating propertechniques and drills, and correcting form and technique as needed.• *Communication: *Communicating effectively withswimmers, parents (if applicable), and colleagues regardingprogress, concerns, and scheduling. • *EquipmentMaintenance:* Maintaining swimming equipment such as lane lines,kickboards, and pool toys, and ensuring a clean and safe poolenvironment. • *Certification and Training:* Stayingcurrent with certifications in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid,and participating in continuing education to improve teachingmethods and stay updated on industry trends. Overall, the SwimmingTrainer will play a crucial role in helping students of variousages and skill levels develop confidence, and improve theirswimming abilities.
