Job Description - Training Cell Team Leader

The
Training Cell Team Leader reports to the Forward Maintenance Manager and is
Responsible for designing and updating the
toolsets that both identify training requirements and record completed
training.


The requirement
of this role is to liaise and support maintenance personnel and managers at all
levels to navigate and succeed in utilising all available media and training
routes to be able to demonstrate compliance and competency. This role will lead
the training cell providing confidence to the Part 145 manager that his
personnel are competent and current to carry out maintenance tasks.


There is also a requirement to assist the training department in the
event of holidays carrying out human factors and other regulation courses.

Core Activity:
  • Updating training materials to reflect
    changes to systems, developments and upgrades and to meet developing or
    changing requirements as directed by the Maintenance Training Team
    Lead

  • In conjunction with the Lead Trainer
    ensure that training materials conform to the appropriate configuration and
    standards

  • Establishing and maintaining training
    schedules and delivery programmes to meet the needs and requirements as
    directed by the Maintenance Training Team Lead

  • Supporting the development of training
    material via the Maintenance Training Lead for bespoke or new training
    requirements, either by outsourcing or producing training courses

  • Delivery of Induction Training (As
    required) to all employees in accordance with the Induction Plan. Other
    deliverables would include Continuation training, Manual Handling and Working
    at Height

  • Delivery of SHE briefings in
    conjunction with the on-site SHE co-ordinator

  • Completion of Training records to
    ensure Competency and Currency of Maintenance Personnel to provide evidence to
    the compliant authority

  • Liaising with outside agencies to
    arrange training and refresher training

  • Canvassing feedback reports from
    course attendees, review trends and respond accordingly

  • Delivery of IMS Training (As required)
Key Accountabilities:

  • Performance
    indicators
    - Deliver and record training to undertake appropriate
    assessments to ensure that each employee develops the skills and is able to
    demonstrate the ability to perform the activities and tasks required in the
    domain of maintenance

  • Procedure/standards - Ensure
    compliance with the Regulatory Framework its associated procedures and
    standards, and any other Company procedures and standards, as applicable. At
    this level would be expected to agree and implement change as required

  • Safety Management
    System
    - Understanding of the application of human factors, error
    management, risk management and safety assurance

  • Continuing
    Airworthiness Assurance (Quality)
    - Management and application of the
    CAA system within Airworthiness Records, including supporting audits,
    responding to findings in a timely manner and providing relevant information
    into the appropriate reviews

  • Statutory/Regulatory
    & Legislative requirements
    – Able to demonstrate a detailed
    understanding and application of the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory
    framework, e.g. EASA and ensure any changes are implemented; Ensure compliance
    with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR/EaPW

  • Contractual
    Requirements
    – Ensure compliance
    with all applicable contractual requirements; Support contract reviews and
    ensure communication of any changes into Airworthiness Records activities, as
    appropriate




Requirements

Qualifications/Functional
Knowledge:

  • Requires general Typhoon aircraft knowledge/competency
    within own technical/subject area and knowledge of other trade areas. Awareness
    of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall
    objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for
    continuous improvement and its application
  • Typhoon Trade ‘Q’ Course
  • Engineering- HNC or equivalent
    experience.

  • Leadership- Foundation.

  • E&PW Awareness
  • ITAR Awareness
  • Fire Training
  • UK Driving licence
