Well Integrity Engineering Specialist

Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

1. Provide guidance on functional technology, driving current processes, providing and leading improvement initiatives, leading multifunctional teams, and working with the functions and shareholders to develop and implement well integrity solutions.
2. Consider both value and exposure associated with decisions involving well integrity and arrive at recommendations with a firm technical basis while applying sound risk management principles.
3. Require perseverance and patience in solving problems, including persistent technical and operational advocacy over extended periods.
4. Demand long-term thinking and strategy development involving long-duration studies or projects to address potential future well integrity challenges.
5. Require a high degree of initiative and self-discipline to ensure an adequate pace of progress.
6. Analyze well integrity technical and operational issues, including providing well integrity technical and operational advice and influencing department and Asset Teams on related issues.
7. Develop multidisciplinary programs and investigations related to well integrity, including well site engineering support and/or operations supervision as required to execute well integrity interventions and investigations.
8. Provide technical and operational leadership to internal and project teams.
9. Propose integrated and effective solutions to well integrity problems.
10. Implement technical and operational strategies in support of the department and group.
11. Ensure well integrity practices are aligned with accepted industry standards and best practices.
12. Advise and train personnel on well integrity issues to timely respond to unplanned well shut-ins and bring wells to safe status and normal operating conditions.
13. Advise on well reliability plans and assess their effectiveness.
14. Advise new ventures during planning phase and start-up to ensure well integrity best practices are incorporated.
15. Establish technical and operational programs and procedures related to well integrity.
16. Coordinate with other sections and departments on matters related to well integrity.
17. Achieve high awareness and commitment to safety. Be a leader in operations safety.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering.
2. 8 years post-degree relevant working experience.
3. Experience in well integrity management.
4. Experience working in or with a major international and integrated oil company.
5. Fluent in English with demonstrated verbal and written skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Able to communicate with several organizational levels.
8. Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
9. Proficient in common PC software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) and functional-specific software.

Salary:
Monthly Rate in QAR Plus Allowance
