About the job
In this role, you will be working in our Operations Division (Terminal Operations – Yard Operations), supporting Al‑Awalia’s operations by ensuring accurate documentation, record-keeping, and coordination of yard activities.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Adherence to quality, health & safety, information security, and business continuity policies.
- Verify and maintain documentation related to yard operations, including delivery notes and material records.
- Record and track quantities of materials received, stored, and dispatched.
- Ensure documentation aligns with actual yard operations and report discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate logs, registers, and filing systems (manual and electronic).
- Coordinate with yard teams, drivers, and supervisors to support smooth operations.
- Prepare daily and periodic reports related to yard documentation and activities.
- Assist in reconciling yard stock and operational records.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and audit readiness of documents.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the line manager.
About you
For you to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
- High school certificate or diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in yard operations, logistics, or similar roles (preferred).
- Basic command of English; Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Good understanding of documentation, tallying, and record-keeping processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Professional attitude with integrity and teamwork mindset.
