Job Purpose
Propose technical expertise in onshore/offshore structures and infrastructures aligned with department objectives in meeting Company strategy.
Reporting and Relationships
Reports to Lead of Civil/Structural/Marine Engineer / Lead CAT I-II Offshore.
Internal
Regular contact with other Engineering Sections, Project Team, Onshore/Offshore Operations, Supply, Maintenance and Major Projects departments.
External
Regular contact with 3rd party service providers and contractors.

Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure contribution to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialized area.
Key Job Accountabilities
1. Provide a variety of Civil/Structural engineering support to contribute to the division strategy and goals including design reviews, specifications review/update, studies, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
2. Perform Economic/Financial Evaluation of all Conceptual Studies and prepare Design Basis, and civil/structural/infrastructure design packages as per company Specifications and International Codes such as BS, API, OCIMF, PIANC, ISGOTT, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, USACE, UBC and Qatar National Construction Standards.
3. Provide technical expertise support to Project Team throughout Project Life Cycle (Pre-FEED/FEED/Detail Design stages/Construction/Installation) ensuring Quality and Flawless execution.
4. Coordinate all aspects of civil/structural engineering and provide technical support to operation and maintenance for across company onshore/offshore facilities in addition to supporting Major Projects.
5. Lead the definition and implementation of integrity program for steel/concrete structures to achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and integrity/availability.
6. Act as Subject Matter Expert and develop civil/structural detailed drawings and procedures for the department. Support the Civil/Structural Lead for the high-level technical tasks.
7. Perform all the necessary complex/high level analysis as per the applicable specification or codes along with computer analysis software e.g STAAD for onshore and SACS for offshore.
8. Provide technical support in all sessions of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), RHAZOP, Risk Assessment, Lifting, Excavation Certificate, Inspection Program, etc.
9. Liaise with consultants or shareholders, represent company to external agencies, conduct technical presentations and support less experienced engineers to develop their capabilities.
10. Develop training programs to keep abreast of new technologies and mentor less experienced engineers to develop their capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
8 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment.
Experience in greenfield and brownfield Civil/Structural for both onshore and offshore facilities.
Knowledgeable of relevant International Codes & Standards such as BS, ASCE, ACI, AISC, UBC, API RP, etc.
