Job Purpose
Provides electrical engineering expertise consistent with Specialist level competency to ensure contribution to department objectives in meeting Company strategy.

Reporting and Relationships
Reports to Lead of Electrical Engineering Support/Lead of Electrical Systems Engineering.
Internal
Regular contact with other engineering disciplines, Projects, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply departments.
External
Regular contact with suppliers and contractors.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Ensures contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in area of expertise.

Key Job Accountabilities
1. Provide advanced electrical engineering support to projects, operations and maintenance and contribute to the division strategy and goals.
2. Execute advanced/expert electrical engineering activities in line with long term upgrade plans for proactive, optimal and cost effective obsolescence management of critical electrical equipment.
3. Actively lead and support the definition and implementation of integrity program for electrical equipment to achieve high standards of safety, reliability and availability.
4. Actively lead and support the definition and documentation of best practices within the area of electrical engineering and executing performance improvement initiatives.
5. Actively lead and support risk assessment (SHE and Business) and root cause analysis initiative.
6. Ensure effective completion of tasks and activities, meeting the section and division KPIs.
7. Lead, support and supervise activities undertaken by contractors, consultants and service providers.
8. Coach less experienced engineers with developing as professionals and in implementing the company integrity and reliability systems.
9. Develop and support development of training programs to keep abreast of new technologies and mentor less experienced engineers to develop their capabilities.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
8 years’ engineering experience in an oil and gas environment.
