Job Description - Restaurant Duty Manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the activities of restaurant staff, expediting customers' orders as needed, and maintaining good working relationships with the staff and the suppliers.
  • Achieve exceptional customer service and ensure that customers have a pleasant restaurant experience.
  • exercise effective management skills and take necessary disciplinary actions to address poor staff performance., and also be able to identify ways to decrease the restaurant's operational costs.
  • Train, mentor, and coach team members to maintain high standards of service and performance.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to meet demand.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, goals, and expectations.
  • Assist in creating and implementing marketing and promotional initiatives to attract customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Ensure all service areas and workflows are in strict compliance with health and local municipality standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the restaurant industry.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fine and Casual dining and upmarket restaurant experience
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Customer service, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to work on your feet throughout your shift
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
