What is the role about?

The Senior Expert ITIS Security Design, is accountable for provisioning of business relevant cloud and hybrid based infrastructure security services, combining analytical skills and design with adequate knowledge of software, hardware and cloud technology, knowledge and abilities in using software tools and programming languages in order to deliver effective and efficient IT Infrastructure services within and towards OMV Petrom and OMV Group, including the creation of architectural roadmaps, designing of solutions, testing, implementation and modification of the IT systems containing software as a main component.

Responsibilities:

• Is a reliable partner with very good IT Infrastructure vision, who shapes the technology demand among the business community. Implements and customizes technical solutions and processes and ensures service delivery through continuous knowledge exchange and best practice implementations;
• Challenges vendors from technical point of view (system setup, experience based on OMV specific technical system setups, etc.) and performs technical evaluations in tender processes;
• Consults regarding technical solutions especially within the IT department and counsels project managers, service managers and business consultants regarding technical questions and possible solutions. Reports to the department manager or project managers, esp. on defined KPIs, including analysis or root cause analysis in case of technical system failures;
• Monitors strategic direction of vendors, market trends, and determines their impact and value to the enterprise. Functionally coordinates external suppliers, works on detailed level (e. g. requirement specifications, network security design implementation proposals);
• Continuously works on technical and innovative improvement of services and systems as well as maintains technical documentation according to the company’s standards. Configures and implements technical changes and enhancements of existing developments according to business requirements ensuring high quality and proper data consistency;
• Investigates technically complex problems and coordinates problem resolution with vendors, hardware manufacturers, and/or appropriate in-house personnel. Develops specifications and provides consultative guidance to project teams;
• Participates in projects, gives technical advice and performs technical implementations. Supports the implementation of projects from IT Network Security Architecture perspective;
• Ensures governance, controls and best practices to ensure secure, highly usable and stable services for hosted applications as well as end users in the Corporate IT network;
• Closely collaborates with relevant stakeholders (eg. Application Developers, Service Managers, network 2nd level IT team) to define software development and customization requirements;
• Owns key expert level communication and interaction including consulting, understanding and supporting of the Digital Infrastructure & Hybrid Platforms IT Security Architecture strategy.

Requirements:

• Master Degree IT&C;
• Relevant professional experience, more than 7 years in IT Network Security area;
• Advanced knowledge of business specific IT&C areas: operating hybrid infrastructure security technologies; Agile Methodology; Project Management Methodology; Cloud Firewall, Cloud Security, ZTNA, Firewalls (Check Point, Barracuda), SD-WAN, End Point Protection, Azure Security;
• Proven broad experience in PowerShell scripting specific to security services provisioning automation;
• Advanced knowledge of DevOps practices and automation with focus on Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Advanced knowledge in ITIL and IT security;
• Proven experience in rolling out and operating Cloud Firewalls, Check Point, Barracuda and other IT network security technologies (eg. Zero Trust Network Access);
• User and application centric thinking and mindset, being able to identify and understand collaboration and productivity needs;
• Deep understanding of infrastructure service technologies, also including cloud and onprem collaboration solutions;
• Experience in new technology evaluation and technical change management;
• English – advanced level written and verbal.
