ROLE DETAILS

Job Title: Automation Test Consultant

Job Type: Full-time

Effort Schedule: 8 Hours/Day

Project Communication & Documents: German, English

Job Summary: As a Automation Test Consultant, you will be working on a diverse range of projects, focusing on the development, monitoring, and analysis of application interfaces and program performance to optimize user interactions and ensure seamless functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure extensive coverage, identify defects early, and reduce risks.
• Actively contribute to the test strategy by adhering to automation best practices, enhancing the reliability of the testing process.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams - development, QA, product management, and business analysis - to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  
• Develop, optimize, and sustain UI and API automated test scripts using Playwright or Cypress in JavaScript, ensuring robust and scalable test automation.
• Integrate and execute automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline to maintain quality throughout the development cycle.
• Generate and share automated test metrics with leadership to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Automation Test Engineering.
• Proven experience with Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript for UI and API testing: Proficient in using Playwright or Cypress for automation testing, including experience with writing, debugging, and maintaining test scripts.
• Experience with API testing and automation for web services (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Hands-on experience with test management and tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, and AQUA (or X-Ray, TestRail etc.).
• Version Control and CI/CD: Proven expertise with version control systems like Git and CI/CD processes and tools (e.g. Jenkins).
• Skilled in performance and accessibility testing. (JMeter).
• Experienced with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
• Proficient in BDD frameworks (Cucumber, CodeceptJS).
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve test failures and enhance overall test coverage.
• Must have: German, English.
