Working across audiovisual technology, structured cabling, networks and ongoing technical support, the client supports businesses throughout the full workspace-technology lifecycle, from initial planning and deployment through to long-term maintenance and support.

Purpose of Role

As an On-Site AV Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and support of audio, visual and video-conferencing systems at the client’s Bucharest location.

Working as part of a wider global AV support team, you will provide first- and second-line technical assistance, undertake proactive system checks and ensure that meetings, presentations and executive sessions run smoothly.

You will act as a trusted on-site point of contact, working with end users, technical teams, service providers and vendors to diagnose problems, coordinate resolutions and maintain a consistently high standard of service.

Roles & Responsibilities

Acts as the primary client focal point for all day-to-day operational issues related to AV services.

Troubleshoot audiovisual, meeting-room and video-conferencing systems.

Conduct daily equipment checks and proactive system testing.

Set up and support meeting rooms, presentations and video-conferencing sessions.

Record and manage support tickets through to resolution.

Escalate complex issues to global teams, vendors or specialist engineers.

Liaise with users and service providers, providing clear progress updates.

Maintain technical documentation and provide practical user guidance.

Recommend improvements to AV systems and support processes.

Skills, Qualifications & Abilities

Previous hands-on experience in AV support, maintenance and troubleshooting meeting-room and video-conferencing systems, or event-technology.

A good understanding of AV signal flow, cameras, codecs and extenders.

Knowledge of technologies such as Crestron, Biamp, Shure, Dante, Q-SYS, Logitech and Microsoft Teams Rooms.

Q-SYS Level 1 or Level 2 certification would be advantageous.

Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent written and spoken English.

A professional, customer-focused approach.

Strong organisation, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.

The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
