Job Description - Commissioning Manager

With an experience of over 28 years, E-INFRA Group comprises 5 Romanian companies, active in the field of energy, constructions, and telecommunications infrastructure.
E-INFRA holding includes: Electrogrup, EPC contractor for complex projects in critical infrastructure for energy and renewable energy, construction and telecom projects, Nova Power and Gas active in energy production, energy and gas supply, natural gas distribution and energy and gas trading, Direct One, the operator of the largest neutral long distance fiber optic network with national coverage, maintenance services and telecom projects, Netcity and WESEE, offering full installation and maintenance services for wind parks.

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities for complex industrial and energy projects, ensuring systems are delivered safely, on time, and at required performance standards.

Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and supervise all pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases;
Develop and implement commissioning strategies, procedures, schedules, and test protocols;
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, electrical, automation) on site;
Manage interfaces between engineering, construction, vendors, and client teams;
Ensure proper execution of functional tests, performance tests, and system validation;
Identify, track, and close punch list items / non-conformities;
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues during start-up;
Ensure compliance with HSE standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements;
Coordinate handover to operations, including training and final documentation;

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering (Process engineer);
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in industrial/ energy/ oil&gas projects;
Proven experience in commissioning / start-up activities (preferably in EPC projects);
Strong understanding of process systems, utilities, and industrial installations;
Experience in site coordination and team leadership;
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings;
Familiarity with testing procedures, commissioning workflows, and performance validation;
Good knowledge of HSE practices and site safety requirements;
Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills;
Advanced English (spoken and written);
Advantage: previous experience in open cycle projects.
