Data & Reporting Analyst
Description -
This role supports the Procurement organization by delivering high-quality reporting, data analysis, and insights that drive informed business decisions. This role focuses on developing and maintaining dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting performance tracking across key procurement metrics.
The position plays a critical role in translating data into actionable insights, improving reporting processes, and enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. Working closely with Procurement teams and analytics colleagues, the specialist contributes to embedding a strong data-driven culture within the organization while ensuring efficient, reliable, and user-friendly reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain recurring procurement reports and dashboards (e.g., spend, PO data, supplier performance metrics, travel metrics), ensuring accuracy and timely refreshes.
- Build and update Power BI visuals and reporting views based on defined requirements and existing data models.
- Prepare clear and structured summaries and presentations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
Data Analysis
- Support procurement performance reviews by analyzing trends, identifying key drivers, and highlighting areas requiring further investigation or action.
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations aligned with business objectives.
Ariba Reporting Support
- Provide first-level support for Ariba reporting, including user access, report configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
- Guide users in navigating reports and ensure adherence to defined processes and reporting standards.
- Escalate complex system or data-related issues and track them through resolution.
Data Quality & Integrity
- Monitor and maintain data accuracy by performing routine validations, reconciliations, and resolving data refresh issues.
- Proactively identify and address data inconsistencies.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in current reporting processes and recommend practical, scalable improvements.
- Contribute to process enhancements, including automation initiatives within the defined scope.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Partner with Procurement stakeholders and PD&A colleagues to understand requirements and deliver high-quality analytical outputs.
- Support and mentor junior team members on tools, processes, and best practices.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 2–4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, business analytics, or a related function.
- Experience working with reporting tools and data visualization platforms in a business environment is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing operations, and related KPIs.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboard development and maintenance).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to create structured, impactful PowerPoint presentations.
- Working knowledge of Python; familiarity with additional analytics or automation tools is an advantage.
