Job Description - Data Engineer

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.

Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.

Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.

Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using dbt, SQL, and Jinja within Databricks production environments.

Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers) and apply enterprise data modeling best practices to create modular, reusable transformations.

Manage version control and release workflows using Git and GitFlow, while actively supporting CI/CD automation.

Ensure data governance, lineage, traceability, and maintainability across all data pipelines and transformation processes.

Partner with analysts, architects, and delivery teams to gather technical and business requirements, translating stakeholder vision into actionable data solutions.

Lead client-facing engagements, including technical workshops, progress reviews, requirements clarification sessions, and ongoing stakeholder communications.

Maintain clear technical documentation for architecture decisions, process flows, and pipeline configurations.

Proven hands-on experience building, scaling, and managing production data platforms in Databricks.

Advanced expertise in SQL, dbt, Jinja, and modern data modeling techniques.

Experience implementing Medallion Architecture and managing modern software delivery practices via Git, GitFlow, and CI/CD pipelines.

Demonstrated track record in client-facing or advisory roles, with strong presentation, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.

Familiarity with additional data technologies including Microsoft Azure Data Services, Data Lakes, Apache Spark, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Airflow.

Hands-on experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
