ROLE INSIGHTS

This role plays a key part in automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments across a large multi-account AWS environment. 

The core focus is hands-on AWS engineering - designing, deploying, and cost-optimizing cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, alongside configuration management and deployment automation with Ansible. 

A solid understanding of AWS architecture and best practices is essential, covering security, networking, multi-account governance (SCPs, IAM boundaries), and the Well-Architected Framework. 

The role involves building automation and integration tooling in Python and Bash, administering GitLab with robust CI/CD pipelines, and setting up observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. We also run Kubernetes (EKS) workloads, so familiarity with containers and orchestration is a plus, though not the primary focus of the role. 

It also covers troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior colleagues. We expect 5+ years in DevOps with deep AWS expertise, strong scripting skills.
