Job Description - Embedded C Software Engineer | Automatic Flight Control Systems team

We are looking forward to meeting Embedded C Software Engineers, to develop software for Garmin Avionics, including performing software design, development, and testing for OEM and retrofit avionics products.
Currently, we have one opening for the following project:
Automatic Flight Control Systems (AFCS) – in this team you will be responsible for the development and certification of aviation safety critical software involved in automatic flight control systems going into certified airplanes and helicopters.
BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math or Physics or another relevant engineering/technical field
Strong programming skills and knowledge of C
Experience in low-level programming
Demonstrates mastery of relevant software engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, simulators, static code analysis, and logic analyzers)
Collaborate closely with product teams to integrate new features and technology into product platforms
Detail-oriented individual with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
At least 3 years of relevant experience
Would be a plus
Experience with signal processing
Experience in developing safety-critical software following DO-178B standard
Strong knowledge of Python 3, C++, C#
Familiarity with Java/JavaScript
A research oriented mindset
