Could you be the full-time Field Project Quality Engineer in Craiova we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality assurance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Claudiu, our D&IS Site Quality Manager, and work alongside dynamic, adaptable, and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Quality & Safety Manager (PrQSM) and the Project Team to ensure the project quality assurance and control plan on the installation site is effectively implemented. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (installation, construction, and subcontractors), guide sub-system installation teams in quality and safety practices, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of ensuring quality processes are established and followed, but also lead continuous improvement initiatives and perform quality inspections.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Supervising subsystem installation subcontractors and participating in the control of critical points

  • Managing interfaces with customer representatives for your scope

  • Establishing and updating Quality Installation Control Plans and relevant QC forms

  • Ensuring proper application of quality documents, traceability, and records

  • Leading quality awareness and training for installation teams

  • Driving continuous improvement through problem-solving activities

  • Performing or delegating site quality inspections and managing non-conformance reports (NCRs)

  • Supporting project audits and ensuring customer approval and compliance

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Technical mastery of railway products

  • Experience in operational activities and documentation control

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization

  • Strong reporting skills and clear communication

  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM)

  • Familiarity with problem-solving tools (QRQC, PDCA, root cause analysis)

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities

  • Proactive and persistent mindset

  • Collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Capacity to work under pressure

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new safety and security standards for rail traffic management

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our dynamic, friendly, and flexible working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards Safety Assurance Management or other projects/teams

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

ALL INTERNAL CANDIDATES MUST INFORM THEIR LINE MANAGER BEFORE APPLYING.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 70+ countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
