We are recruiting a Finance Manager (m/f/d) at Hanseatic Connect who will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening the financial management of the business entity, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and sound financial governance. The role plays a key part in translating financial data into actionable insights, supporting management decision-making, maintaining strong external stakeholder relationships, and safeguarding the organization’s financial integrity in a multi-entity, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze operational results and economic trends to advise management on financial procedures, standards, and cost-effectiveness.
Provide financial insights and guidance during client engagements and support contract development.
Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, management reports, and client invoices.
Develop, monitor, and control budgets; identify variances, report discrepancies, and propose corrective actions.
Review, improve, and maintain financial and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and group standards.
Develop and implement new business cases.
Oversee taxation matters, ensuring timely and accurate submission of tax returns and statutory financial statements.
Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively.
Manage relationships with financial institutions, business associates, and relevant authorities.
Approve electronic purchase transactions in line with established financial guidelines.
Supervise, coach, and support team members to ensure high performance and professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline.
Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is desirable.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in corporate finance or hospitality finance, preferably within a multi-entity, multi-country environment with distributed teams.
Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, provisions, intercompany reconciliations, and consolidation.
Experienced in creating business cases including valuation aspects.
Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear, accurate reports, statements, forecasts, and projections.
Basic knowledge in Romanian corporate and tax compliance.
Hands-on experience with short- and long-term budgeting, forecasting, rolling budgets, and profitability analysis.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively across different cultures, geographies, and time zones.
Fluency in English; Romanian language skills are a strong advantage.
