What will you be doing as a Financial Reporting Manager Europe

The core focus of this role is to support and guide the European close process by reviewing, challenging and validating financial reporting packages ensuring completeness, accuracy, timely reporting and compliance with US GAAP requirements. 

This should be completed through the following activities:

Responsibilities:

• Supporting month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial close processes by reviewing and validating financial statements and reporting packages across Europe.


• Ensuring financial data is complete, accurate, consistent and aligned across countries, while identifying and resolving discrepancies with local teams.


• Performing US GAAP analyses and contributing to technical accounting documentation, including complex topics


• Driving standardization and alignment of accounting and reporting practices across Europe to improve consistency and efficiency.


• Support the Financial reporting lead to bring expertise & alignment where needed for all projects taking place in the region – identify differences and help identifying solutions to align practices. 


• Monitoring and improving financial reporting performance through KPIs and supporting process optimization initiatives.


• Performing SOX controls, supporting internal control improvements and ensuring proper tracking and remediation of control deficiencies.

What you can bring to the role:

• Proven experience of 4 - 6 years in Financial Auditing or in a Controlling role.


• Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics. Qualified accountant or equivalent.


• Experience with tools and SEC financial reporting rules. U.S. GAAP knowledge desired.


• Experience with technical accounting and exposure to complex accounting matters.


• High level of proficiency with Excel; Working knowledge of SAP and OneStream - an advantage


• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in a multi-country environment.


• Project management and proactivity towards problems and issues. 


• Business & results oriented. 


• Teamwork & collaborative mindset.
