Front End Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Junior Front End Developer with strong background in Survey Scripting to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for development, maintenance, and support of solutions built in Unicom Intelligence (formerly IBM SPSS Data Collection) survey platform. You will be part of core team overseeing global survey design standards, you will tackle complex scripting challenges and deliver highly customized survey experiences tailored to diverse client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support for complex survey scripting tasks on the Unicom Intelligence platform.
• Assist scripting teams with advanced logic implementation, custom question types, and integration challenges.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of global survey design guidelines and reusable components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand unique survey requirements and propose scalable, efficient solutions.
• Act as a technical escalation point for survey scripting issues that go beyond standard implementation.
• Document solutions and share best practices to enable knowledge transfer across teams.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid understanding of front-end development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• 4+ years of experience with survey scripting in Unicom Intelligence (formerly IBM SPSS Data Collection).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in debugging complex logic and custom implementations.
• Familiarity with global survey design standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, reliable solutions.

• Familiarity with market research methodologies and survey design principles.
• Exposure to global or cross-functional teams, with an understanding of regional nuances in survey deployment.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong documentation skills and a proactive approach to knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrated adaptability, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
