General Accounting Specialist

Role description:

A General Accounting Specialist is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of financial records, performing data entry tasks, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting the accounting team as needed. They play a critical role in ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations within the organization.

The General Accounting Specialist will report to the RO BU Controller.

Role accountabilities:

• Maintain and update financial records.


• Perform data entry tasks.


• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies. 


• Assist in the preparation of financial reports.


• Support month-end and year-end close processes.


• Collaborate with internal and global finance teams for different reports or other financial data required by the management internally or externally

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.


• Proven experience in general accounting.


• Full accounting with medium tax/compliance background


• Experience working in a medium/large organization in a similar role.


• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.


• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel


• Able to think, analyze, and consider the broader context to develop pragmatic solutions


• Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Well-developed verbal and written English
