Job Description - Global Mobility Services Partner

British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Global Mobility Services Partner in Bucharest



 


Responsible for managing and coordinating international assignments and permanent transfer relocations for their dedicated area.


 


The role supports endtoend assignment management for employees being sent on an international assignment or transferred internationally under local terms, and problem solves any issue that these employees face working with professional 3rd party providers and key collaborators in the process including the employee’s HRBP and line manager.


 


This is a 2 years fixedterm contract, offering a unique opportunity to shape and deliver highvalue global mobility experiences


 


Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Acts as the single point of engagement for all interested parties (IA, PT, LM, HRBP, vendors, GBS HR teams) throughout the endtoend international move process, bringing up issues to Global Mobility Services Managers when needed.

  • Applies detailed knowledge of Global Mobility frameworks, policies, tax, assignment packages, and interconnected processes (immigration, relocation, accommodation) to ensure compliant and accurate case execution.

  • Provides consultative advice and maintains strong relationships with HR teams in assigned DRBUs through regular case reviews and issueresolution calls with HRBPs and vendors.

  • Guides assignees and permanent transfers on Global Mobility processes, policies, and package elements, addressing questions across multiple countries and remaining their single point of engagement.

  • Supports HR teams during initiation and provides ongoing status updates, while instructing GBS HR GM and Employee Services teams on administrative steps, compensation, and relocation package requirements.

  • Conducts a full briefing call on requirements with the Assignees and Permanent Transfers at grade 38 and below to ensure they fully understand their compensation package and the end-to-end move process. Remains a single point of engagement during the move and throughout the assignment.

  • Resolves complex queries requiring interpretation of global mobility policies and proposes solutions for unique or exceptional scenarios, ensuring documentation aligns with process guidelines.

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities, contributes to GM projects, generates reports on mobility activities and compliance, and adheres strictly to documented processes and policies.


 


 


What are we looking for?



  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a global mobility role within a multinational environment, with proven ability to operate effectively in highpressure, fastpaced, crosstimezone settings.

  • Demonstrated capability in managing stakeholders at multiple organizational levels with strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • Subjectmatter expertise across immigration, tax, relocation, and the endtoend global mobility process, supported by strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and data accuracy.

  • Able to independently manage deliverables, ensure timely completion of activities, and provide clear, regular progress updates to stakeholders.

  • Strong problemsolving and execution abilities, with the capacity to navigate ambiguity, think proactively, and apply a consultative attitude.

  • Skilled in building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating seamlessly across a matrixed organization.

  • Holds a university degree and demonstrates strong English communication skills (written and oral), with beneficial experience in expatriate tax concepts and the Equus platform.

  • Comfortable working in dynamic, complex environments and contributing to continuous improvement through insight, adaptability, and crossfunctional collaboration.
