Candu Energy Romania is seeking an HR Business Partner to provide human resources generalist support to our team dedicated to the design of new nuclear power plants and the operation and refurbishment of existing CANDU nuclear power plants.

Location – Bucharest, Romania

Your role

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for end-to-end onboarding and supporting human resources function to ensure smooth and compliant operations within our Bucharest Operations.

HR Business Partner:

• Advise and administer human resources policies, procedures, end to end onboarding, and programs;
• Provide training, coaching, and assistance to Senior Management and Managers through different processes of human resource management including, labour relations, performance management, discipline, absence management (disability leave, paternal leave, unpaid holidays) etc.;
• Advise and administer talent development and succession planning initiatives;
• Conduct formal investigations to address employee complaints/concerns;
• Reviewing and advising on employment change requests including promotions, terminations, transfers, etc.;
• Monitor the talent assessment and performance evaluation process. Provide counsel and advice to Managers on these processes;
• Collaborate with hiring managers/talent acquisition team to schedule and participate in interviews as needed; Conduct interviews, explaining benefits summaries, company culture, long-term vision for position, and any other applicable information for candidates; Provide feedback to applicants and candidates who have applied and/or been interviewed; Make recommendations for hire;
• Participates in the development of employee engagement activities necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
• Prepare organizational announcements and human resources communications as required;
• Special human resources programs and projects based on business needs;
• Local labour law expertise;
• Assist with the administration of security clearance paperwork
• All other duties as assigned

About you

• 5+ years of experience as a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner, or in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field; candidates currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Taleo, Workday, SuccessFactors) is considered an asset.
• Advanced analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex HR information clearly in both English and Romanian.
