Internal Auditor

Purpose of the role

The internal auditor position supports the organization by working diligently behind the scenes, with the main objective of ensuring integrity, efficiency, and regulatory compliance through systematic evaluation and improvement of internal control and risk management processes.

Here’s what you will do:

• Applying the organisation’s audit methodology and carrying out the audit procedures to meet the specific audit engagement objective.
• Planning, conducting, and reporting the results of the established audit tests, in accordance with the agreed deadlines of the audit missions and in line with the annual audit plan.
• Evaluate internal controls across departments to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements, ensuring effective risk management and operational efficiency.
• Organise and express ideas clearly and deliver verbal and written information in a structured manner in order to conclude on work done.
• Produce audit findings and propose recommendations that address the root causes of issues and their impact on the organization, resulting in actionable insights for improvement.
• Follow up with management to verify the effective implementation of management actions, resulting in enhanced processes and controls.
• Assist in creating presentations and reports for senior management and audit committee to ensure clear and effective communication of audit work.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor/ Master degree.
• 2-3+ years of experience within the internal or external audit field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CAFR are a plus.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with creative thinking.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong command of MS Office
• Advanced English (spoken and written).
