Junior Product & Project Manager (Python Focus)

We are assisting our client – a Cluj-based company developing GIS (Geographic Information System) and digital mapping solutions – in recruiting a Junior Product & Project Manager with programming knowledge (especially in Python) and an interest in digital product development.

This is a generalist role within a small, cross-functional team, ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, learning new things, and taking ownership across different areas of the business. You'll be involved in product coordination, light technical work, and collaboration with external partners managing development and infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the management and evolution of internal digital products (e.g., web GIS platforms, digital maps).
• Coordinate with external development and IT partners on software and infrastructure needs.
• Occasionally review or write simple code in Python or JavaScript, particularly for product maintenance or testing.
• Support the integration and testing of new features.
• Help ensure ongoing product stability and maintenance.
• Provide basic internal IT support and assist in infrastructure-related coordination (e.g., backups, servers).

Must-Have Skills:

• Some education or experience in Python (e.g., scripting, automation, or a basic understanding of code)
• Exposure to at least one of the following areas: Project Management, Product Management, or Team coordination
• Interest in digital product development
• General understanding of web technologies and APIs
• Strong communication skills in English
• A proactive, flexible, and curious attitude

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS Pro)
• Understanding of software lifecycles, version control, or testing practices
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• General awareness of IT infrastructure
