This partnership is a unique, industry-first model which brings together the best of in-house and 3rd party capability. \nWe work with customers across 28 countries from 10 VOIS locations: Albania, Egypt, Hungary, India, Romania, Spain, Turkey, UK, Germany, Ireland, and with a network of teams in Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, and Portugal.\n\n## About this Role\n\nWe are seeking a Junior IT Systems Engineer to support the development, implementation, and optimisation of software solutions and IT infrastructure projects. This role involves defining technical requirements, designing and configuring systems, developing scripts, and ensuring operational stability across supported platforms. You will contribute to transformation initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and proactive maintenance activities, while collaborating with distributed teams to deliver high-quality solutions.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Participate in all phases of IT projects, including requirements definition, planning, analysis, and implementation.\n * Define technical requirements and evaluate IT solutions to meet business needs.\n * Develop scripts and programs (e.g., Bash, KSH, Python, Perl) to extend functionalities or automate processes.\n * Configure and implement solutions involving operating systems and virtualisation platforms.\n * Design and test disaster recovery solutions and optimise existing architectures for improved efficiency.\n * Support technology refresh programmes aimed at enhancing service availability and performance.Investigate and resolve performance incidents, identifying root causes and proposing solutions.\n * Execute proactive maintenance using automated tools and alerts.\n * Contribute to proof-of-concept evaluations for new technologies.\n * Participate in on-call services and be available for night shifts, overtime, and stand-by duties when required.\n\n\n\n## Who you are\n\n * Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure administration and operating systems (Linux/Windows).\n * Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware) and distributed systems.\n * Understanding of hardware architecture and procedural programming.\n * Knowledge of shell scripting and general cybersecurity principles.\n * Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and prioritise effectively.\n * Well-organised, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple requests.\n * Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and client-oriented mindset.\n * Fluent in English (written and spoken).0\u20131 year of experience as an IT System Administrator or similar role.\n\n\n\n## Not a perfect fit?\n\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
