Performance QA Engineer

We are looking for a Performance QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, reliability, and stability of our applications through comprehensive performance testing and analysis. You will work closely with QA, Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Product teams to identify performance bottlenecks and ensure applications meet business and technical performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies and plans.
• Create and maintain automated performance test scripts for web applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Execute various types of performance tests, including:
  • Load Testing
  • Stress Testing
  • Spike Testing
  • Endurance (Soak) Testing
  • Volume Testing
  • Capacity Testing
• Analyze test results and identify application, infrastructure, database, and network bottlenecks.
• Monitor key performance metrics such as response time, throughput, CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network utilization.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to investigate and resolve performance issues.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Produce detailed performance reports, dashboards, and recommendations.
• Define and validate performance acceptance criteria and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Support production performance monitoring and root cause analysis when needed.
• Continuously improve performance testing processes, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Performance Testing or Performance Engineering.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience with one or more performance testing tools:
  • Apache JMeter
  • k6
  • Gatling
  • LoadRunner
  • NeoLoad
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and web applications.
• Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
• Experience with SQL databases and performance-related queries.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
