Bavaria Medizin Technologie GmbH (BMT), part of Lubrizol, specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of innovative medical devices, including the first commercial drug-coated balloon. Located near Munich, Germany, with a facility in Sibiu, Romania, BMT offers comprehensive services from R&D to logistics management. They excel in catheter-based technologies and provide private label manufacturing, OEM, and contract services. BMT is dedicated to enhancing lives through cutting-edge medical solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and safety.
Develop and execute strategic plans that improve plant performance and deliver operational goals.
Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements while maintaining high product standards.
Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching, performance management, engagement, and organizational transformation.
Identify and implement growth initiatives, including process improvements, cost reduction strategies, workforce optimization, and resource planning.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in plant management within the medical device industry.
Progressive manufacturing or engineering leadership experience across production, engineering, and operations.
Proven success leading plant turnarounds and delivering operational performance improvements.
Experience leading large teams and driving employee engagement, capability building, and performance.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP systems, and manufacturing software.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.

Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
Cross-cultural and international leadership experience.
Experience succeeding within a matrix organization.

This role operates primarily within a manufacturing environment and includes production floor presence, leadership of plant operations, adherence to safety protocols, and regular use of digital business and manufacturing systems.
