Progressive Tool & Die Maker + EDM Operator / Setter (Press Tool / Die & Mold)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Tool &
Die Maker with strong expertise in press tool stamping, conventional machining,
and EDM operations (Wire Cut / Die Sinking). The candidate will be responsible
for manufacturing, assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting progressive
dies, along with performing precision EDM machining for dies and molds.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

·         Manufacture,
assemble, and maintain progressive press tools and dies used in metal stamping
processes

·         Interpret and
work accurately from technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD specifications

·         Perform die
spotting, fitting, and alignment to ensure precision and quality output

·         Carry out
repairs, modifications, and improvements on existing dies

·         Troubleshoot
tooling issues and ensure continuous production efficiency

·         Set up and
operate EDM machines (Wire Cut / Die Sinking)

·         Prepare
electrodes, fixtures, and workpiece alignment for EDM processes

·         Perform
precision machining of dies, punches, inserts, and mold components

·         Optimize EDM
parameters for accuracy and surface finish

·         Perform
grinding, polishing, and finishing operations as required

·         Operate
conventional machines such as:

• Manual milling machines
  
• Lathe (turning) machines
  
• Surface grinders
  

·         Collaborate
with production teams to optimize tool performance and reduce downtime

·         Ensure
adherence to quality standards and safety procedures

Requirements

·         Minimum 6–8
years of total experience in:

·         Progressive
Tool & Die Making (Press Tool / Stamping) (mandatory)

·         EDM Machine
Operation & Setting (Wire Cut / Sinker EDM) (mandatory)

·         Strong
experience in progressive die making and press tool operations

·         Hands-on
experience with EDM machining and electrode handling

·         Hands-on
experience with conventional machining (milling, turning, grinding)

·         Ability to
read and interpret engineering drawings with high precision

·         Strong
problem-solving and analytical skills

·         Good
understanding of metal stamping processes and die maintenance

·         Ability to
work independently and as part of a team

·         High level of
responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail

Preferred Skills (Optional)

·         Experience
with high-speed progressive dies

·         Basic
knowledge of CNC machining / EDM programming

·         Familiarity
with CAD/CAM software

·         Knowledge of
tool steels and heat treatment processes
