About the Role

The QA Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving the testing strategy, ensuring high software quality through robust testing processes, automation, and best practices. They lead and mentor the QA team, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive a quality-first culture to enhance product reliability, performance, and compliance.

What You’ll Do

Testing Strategy & Quality Ownership

• Define, implement, and evolve a scalable testing strategy and framework across all project stages.


• Establish and enforce best practices for manual, automation, performance, security, and compliance testing.


• Align testing approach with company goals, the technical stack, and Agile delivery.


• Govern test standards and maintain consistency in methodologies and reporting.


• Define and monitor quality KPIs to drive continual improvement in software reliability.

People Management & Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and grow the QA team—focusing on skills development, ownership, and a quality-first mindset.


• Conduct performance reviews and career development plans.


• Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.


• Manage hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of QA team members.

Test Planning & Execution Management

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of test cases, including unit, integration, API, UI, and regression testing.


• Ensure robust coverage of functional, non-functional, regression, and compliance scenarios.


• Continuously optimize test execution for maximum efficiency and coverage.


• Own the defect lifecycle—ensuring clear reporting and timely resolution.

Automation & Continuous Integration

• Define and lead the test automation strategy through a staged approach:


• Unit Testing


• API Testing


• UI Testing


• Regression Suite Development


• Select and implement automation frameworks and tools that scale with product growth.


• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in partnership with DevOps and Engineering.


• Champion automation coverage and maintainability to increase release confidence and velocity.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Be the go-to QA representative for Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams.


• Collaborate with Solution Consultants and Architects to refine acceptance criteria and testability.


• Work closely with developers for early defect detection, pair testing, and quality gates.


• Ensure alignment with technical and business goals for end-to-end product quality.

Performance, Security & Compliance Testing

• Oversee load, stress, and scalability testing efforts to ensure platform resilience.


• Enforce modern security testing practices and compliance adherence (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.


• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager Certification preferred.


• Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe) are a plus.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years in QA with 2+ years in QA leadership roles.


• Strong experience managing QA in Agile/Scrum environments.


• Demonstrated expertise in manual and automated testing.


• Proficiency in designing automation strategies and driving their execution.


• Experience testing cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).


• Strong background in performance and security testing.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Xray, Zephyr).


• Bug tracking expertise (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).


• API testing tools: Postman, REST Assured.


• Performance tools: JMeter, Gatling.


• Automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.


• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and secure coding principles (OWASP Top 10).

Nice to Have

• Experience in the financial industry (e.g., banking, insurance, fintech).


• Background in a technology product company, especially SaaS or platform businesses.


• Strong foundation in test automation practices with practical implementation across the testing stack.


• Experience with advanced CI/CD integration and orchestration tools.
