The Role
We are looking for an Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Romanian team on a 1-year contract. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software products by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and cases. While we aim to automate 50–60% of our testing, manual testing will remain an essential part of the role, especially for exploratory and edge-case scenarios.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Identify, isolate, and document defects clearly and concisely
- Triage bugs in line with strategic business priorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Analyse test results and provide actionable feedback to development teams
- Mentor and support other QA team members
- Evaluate requirements to determine automation opportunities
- Build and maintain robust automation frameworks
- Perform manual testing where automation is not feasible or effective
What you bring to the table
- Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch using modern tools (TypeScript/JavaScript with Playwright or Selenium, REST)
- Familiarity with testing libraries such as JUnit, NUnit, FluentAssertions
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tooling
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to document and relay information clearly and confidently
