ABOUT THE ROLE


Compal is a leading innovator dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and delivering advanced solutions to our clients. We are seeking an Automotive Quality Manager to oversee and enhance our quality management system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our automotive products meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and internal quality benchmarks. This role involves leading quality control teams, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with various departments to maintain compliance with industry standards such as ASPICE, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.


Key Responsibilities:


·         Ensure development, maintenance, deployment and management of the Quality Management System for the location, while ensuring its compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations and customer (specific) requirements.


·         Coordinate and manage the Quality Assurance resources from the site.


·         Assign Quality Assurance resources in projects, to ensure the Quality of processes and work products is assured in projects or activities under the site’s responsibility.


·         Ensure the Quality Assurance resources implement the Quality Assurance Process and ensure the implementation of the Software Development process in their assigned projects


·         Ensure the Quality Assurance Resources comply with the internal processes, regulations and norms while performing their activities.


·         Ensure the Quality Assurance activities are made available to perform the Quality Assurance activities needed (including the necessary skills and competency).


·         Prepare the organization and ensure support for the project teams in preparation for customer audits or external audits (e.g. ISO 9001, IATF16949:2019, A-SPICE, etc.).


·         Represent the organization in the planning and organizational activities for external audits, ensuring the planning activities are concluded


·         Ensures creation and implementation of the site’s Annual Audit plan (as applicable with the industry standards with which the site will need to be certified)


·         Drives the continuous improvement process for the site.


·         Ensures the definition and implementation in appropriate timing of improvement action plans/systemic action plans/corrective actions plans.


·         Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.


·         Ensures Root Cause Analyses are performed whenever they are required, as per Problem Management Process.


·         Manage customer complaints and warranty claims by developing action plans to enhance product quality.


·         Ensures development, maintenance, and deployment of the development process.


·         Ensures the objectives and deployment criteria for the Software Development Process are identified.


·         Ensures the Software Development standard is complying to the main relevant industry standards (e.g. A-SPICE, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, etc.)


·         Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on quality metrics to senior management.


·         Represent the organization/site in relation with Certification Bodies, external auditors, Customer QA Representatives, etc.


·         Contribute to the development and implementation of the site’s development strategy.


 


Qualifications:


·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).


·         5+ years of experience in quality management within the automotive industry.


·         Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ASPICE, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.


·         Proficiency in quality tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement.


·         Experience working with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.


·         Strong understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) assessments and software quality processes.


·         Experience with functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity compliance is a plus.


·         Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.


·         Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.


·         Proficiency in quality management software and ERP systems.


 


Preferred Qualifications:


·         Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar.


·         Experience with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).


·         Knowledge of process validation techniques in an automotive setting.


·         Familiarity with VDA 6.3 audits and supplier quality processes.


·         Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional team leadership.
