Embedded Developer

P3 is launching a major new project with a top-tier client in Italy, focused on next-generation electric vehicle charging stations. We are looking for 4 skilled engineers to join this exciting journey. The work model is 50% on-site at the client’s location in Italy and 50% remote or from our Cluj office.

This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge EV infrastructure in an international, high-impact environment.

1️⃣ Software Developer – Diagnostics 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement diagnostic software for EV charging systems


• Collaborate with service engineers and technical support teams


• Develop real-time performance monitoring tools


• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code


• Troubleshoot, test, and review software

Profile:

• Solid C/C++ and Python skills


• Experience in diagnostics, embedded systems, and data visualization


• Familiar with communication protocols (MQTT, ZMQ, etc.)


• Strong problem-solving mindset


• English fluency required

2️⃣ Embedded Linux Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and configure Linux-based embedded systems (Yocto/Buildroot)


• Kernel-level programming and integration with open-source libraries


• Write and debug C/C++, Python, and shell scripts


• Work with secure communication protocols and system-level tools

Profile:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in embedded Linux development


• Strong knowledge of kernel architecture, security mechanisms, and cryptographic libraries


• Experience with ARM Cortex-A and performance-constrained environments


• English fluency required; Italian or German is a plus

3️⃣ Software Developer – Power Control

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop power-sharing and energy management functions (e.g. V2G, load balancing)


• Extend the charging interface to support future energy and charging standards


• Work on real-time optimization and simulation


• Conduct root cause analysis and field support

Profile:

• C/C++ or Python proficiency


• Experience with control theory, MATLAB/Simulink, and real-time systems


• Knowledge of energy/charging systems is a plus


• English required; German/Italian a plus

4️⃣ Senior Software Developer – EV Charging

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and evolve EV charging protocols (CCS, NACS, GB/T, CHAdeMO, etc.)


• Implement new features and support interoperability testing


• Participate in conformance and field validation activities


• Ensure secure and scalable communication and control

Profile:

• Strong experience in embedded C/C++ development


• Familiarity with CMake, Linux systems, and fieldbus tech (CAN, Ethernet)


• Understanding of secure communication and certificates


• English required; German/Italian preferred
