Project Overview

We are partnering with a major Japanese client on a long-term SAP migration project, involving the consolidation of two separate ECC systems into S/4HANA using Selective Data Transfer. The project includes the migration of approximately 240 data flows to a new Process Orchestration (PO) environment hosted in Azure (NTT.com) and subsequent reconnection to S/4 and third-party systems.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Integration Lead to oversee the migration, configuration, and cutover of integration landscapes. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise in SAP PO and familiarity with CPI, with strong leadership capabilities to manage integration teams and ensure successful delivery across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and coordinate the migration of ~240 data flows to the new PO environment on Azure.

• Ensure proper reconnection and integration with S/4HANA and third-party systems.

• Manage a team of integration developers during build, unit testing, and defect resolution phases.

• Participate directly in delivery and troubleshooting during testing and hypercare.

Cutover & Test Management

• Collect, plan, and monitor all integration cutover activities, including user acceptance and final go-live phases.

• Oversee cutover configuration in S/4HANA and PO, ensuring compliance with the 4-eyes principle.

• Support S/4 red book entries and functional stream configurations (ALE setup, message configuration, job scheduling).

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and client-side IT (Kubota IT integration team) to ensure smooth execution.

Technical Expertise

• Deep proficiency in SAP Process Orchestration (PO) configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution.

• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) not mandatory initially but desirable for future interface development.

• Familiarity with integration architecture and simplification in the context of S/4 migration.

Project Governance

• Track progress, risks, and dependencies related to integration workstreams.

• Coordinate defect resolution and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for integration developers and testers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as Integration Lead / SAP PO Lead / SAP Integration Manager in large-scale SAP projects.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP PO (Process Orchestration); CPI experience is a plus.

• Experience with S/4HANA migration projects, ideally using Selective Data Transfer methodology.

• Strong understanding of integration cutover processes and configuration steps (ALE, message types, job setup).

• Excellent coordination and communication skills, including experience working with global, cross-functional teams.

• Fluent English (Japanese is a plus).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Azure environments and integration with third-party systems.

• Ability to perform both technical and coordination tasks effectively.

• Prior collaboration with Japanese or APAC-based clients is advantageous.
