Job Description - Road Logistics Field Sales Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION Kuehne + Nagel is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Road Logistics Field Sales Representative for Road Logistics Business Unit from Cluj. With this position, you will have strategic and commercial responsibility for developing Road Logistics Business for Kuehne-Nagel Romania.

Your Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for winning new accounts for Road Logistics Business. The position is also responsible for maximizing sales growth from existing customers through the development of new sales, product marketing, customer support strategies, and achieving specific volume growth targets in the assigned area of the business.

Your Responsibilities

  • To own, monitor + drive all sales activities of the field + inside sales organization.
  • To focus on customer facing activities + be actively involved in the generation of sustainable new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME.
  • To monitor competitor activity by gathering+ communicating current information on pricing + products. 
  • Perform all aspects of the sales process and input & update all relevant activities utilizing Kuehne + Nagel systems daily.
  • To focus on customer engagement, satisfaction, retention + reactivation through high levels of service quality in close collaboration with the operational team.
  • Cross-sell Kuehne & Nagel suite of services.
  • Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree, equivalent, or similar level of education in transport business;
  • +3 years’ experience in a similar position as field sales in freight forwarding (road), mandatory;
  • Operational knowledge and experience;
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Road Logistics business and network solutions;
  • Experience with logistics processes, systems, and solutions;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Effective presentation and customer relations skills, excellent listening skills;
  • Organizational, administrative, and strong communication skills, both oral & written;
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail, able to work on own initiative and within a team;
  • Goal-oriented, self-disciplined, and self-motivated to produce results; Able to set priorities and to keep an overview;
  • Good problem solving and negotiation skills, both commercial as well as diplomatic and team-oriented;
  • Excellent computer literate (MS Office);
  • Language skills: Advanced level of English, mandatory.
