Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA Database Specialist to join a long-term contract focused on delivering Enhanced Operations Services for enterprise customers.

In this role, you will act as a trusted database advisor, supporting critical incidents, providing expert troubleshooting, and offering optimization and configuration guidance for SAP HANA environments.

This is a remote role within the EU, with an initial duration of 10 months and strong extension potential.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support for SAP HANA databases across selected enterprise customers

• Act as a Database Advisor during critical incidents and escalations

• Perform deep troubleshooting and root cause analysis

• Analyze performance issues using advanced tracing techniques:

  • SQL trace

  • Performance trace

  • Runtime dump analysis

  • HANA SQL Plan Cache analysis

• Deliver configuration and performance optimization recommendations

• Support database escalations and consultations

• Share knowledge, insights, and best practices with internal teams

• Contribute to knowledge enablement and upskilling across the organization

Required Experience

• 6+ years of database experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA Database

• Proven experience in:

  • Troubleshooting complex database issues

  • Root cause analysis

  • Performance diagnostics

• Strong understanding of:

  • SQL tracing and performance analysis

  • Runtime dump and plan cache analysis

• Well-organized, proactive, and knowledge-sharing mindset

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations

Nice to Have

• Exposure to hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Basic SAP Basis knowledge

• Experience in enterprise support or managed services environments
