Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to act as a Finance Business Partner to internal customers, providing personalized data and analysis as per internal customer needs,and also ensuring that databases and proceses run smoothly and securely.

Here’s what you will do:

• Develop, test and maintain different types of databases – SQL is a must
• Ensure a consistent data flow in and out of main internal applications – definitely need SQL, SSIS is also preferable
• Combine data from different sources and volumes to provide answers to internal customers ad-hoc requests, recommending actions to address key issues – each day we encounter new things
• We like everything new so we get involved in development, implementation and testing of different changes that use a dataflow – desire to learn and develop
• We like automatization and we contribute with recommendations to support efficiency increase into the processes where data is involved – why do something a machine can do?
• Participate in evaluating future reporting tools – do Power BI, Snowflake sound familiar to you?
• The information is just as good as the data is so we maintain data integrity and prevent data corruption in all the data sources – attention to details required
• Use internal and external sources of data to develop and maintain personalized reports and analysis – some prefer Excel, others SSRS or even Power BI – what do you prefer?
• Work with internal customers to clearly identify parameters, create, implement, modify, maintain and support existing reports – experience in working with large sets of data, troubleshooting and testing

The Ideal Candidate

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable reporting tools and dashboards that provide valuable insights
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in multiple departments to understand reporting requirements and ensure alignment strategies and objectives.
• Develop data models and data architectures to support reporting initiatives, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Analyze large datasets and extract valuable insights to guide decisions and enhance portfolio performance.
• Monitor and optimize existing reporting processes, identifying opportunities for automation and increased efficiency.
• Stay updated on the latest industry best practices and trends in business intelligence and reporting
