Job Description - Senior Database / System Administrator

We are hiring for our client, a company which is planning to establish a new office in Romania and is looking for Senior Database / System Administrator (only contract, hybrid, not a freelance position)

Job Description:

â¢ You are jointly responsible for the administration (installation, operation, maintenance and optimization) of our database systems (MySQL) under Linux

â¢ You will participate in the design and expansion of the database systems up to high-availability solutions

â¢ You will be in close contact with the developers of our applications to support them as a database administrator

â¢ You will support our team in the operation and further development of the IT infrastructure as well as in the integration of new technologies

â¢ You see yourself as part of a team for the continuous analysis, optimization and further development of the existing system as well as internal processes and procedures

Requirements

â¢ Degree in the field of computer science or comparable training

â¢ Many years of experience in the operation and architecture of MySQL databases and their replication

â¢ Sound knowledge in the administration of Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian)

â¢ Independent and careful way of working

â¢ Good written and spoken German and English skills
